Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Lofi Space (the "App"), a native macOS application for ambient music, focus, and animated scene loops. By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't install the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and run Lofi Space on Macs that you own or control. The free tier is free to use indefinitely. The Pro upgrade unlocks additional features for a one-time payment.

2. Permitted use

You may use Lofi Space for personal listening, background music, focus sessions, and ambient soundscaping. You may activate your Pro license on multiple Macs that you personally own; please don't share your license key with others.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or transfer your license key.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
• Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
• Use the bundled music, ambient samples, or scene art in commercial productions, livestreams, or public performances without separate written permission.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

4. Pro upgrade

Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Polar. Your license key is delivered by email after checkout and can be activated either by clicking the activation link or by entering the key in Settings → Pro. License keys are issued per purchase. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Music & scene art

Bundled lofi tracks, ambient samples, and scene art are produced by or licensed to Lofi Space and remain our intellectual property. A Pro license grants you personal listening rights only. For streaming, broadcasting, or commercial use, please contact us first.

6. Updates

Updates are delivered automatically via Sparkle. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We make no commitment that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely. All updates within the Pro license are included at no extra cost.

7. Your content

The App lets you reference your own folders of looping art as "custom scenes". Those folders, and any audio or video inside them, remain entirely yours. Lofi Space stores only a security-scoped bookmark to the folder and never reads, copies, or transmits the content elsewhere.

8. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every macOS version or hardware configuration.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lofi Space and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for your Pro license.

10. Termination

If you breach these terms in a material way, we may revoke your Pro license. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 5, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Malaysia.
